Today, I'd like to unbox the "Antioxidant Essence and Mask Limited Set" of Huxley from StyleKorean. Today is the last day of review submission haha coz I just got this package due to the CMCO pandemic in Malaysia. What is Huxley? TBH, this is my first time heard of this brand.

[HUXLEy] Oil essence-like, oil-like

A mixture of oil and essence that has prickly pear seed oil that helps energizing and revitalizing the skin. The formulation of this brand new oil essence is optimal. It is said to freshen up and smooth your skin in which will help keep ur skin refreshed all day long! This antioxidant oil essence smells so good! Its fragrance relates me to baby powder products. I like it a lot!! This is the most fragrant one among these 4. As for the texture, I was initially worried about the greasiness. However, it's not as oily as I expected. It's silky smooth and is said to have better absorption to skin than oil.

U may apply it for daily usage as it's last long with strong revitalization. I saw a lot of online reviews claiming that they like this product very much! And before makeup, you can apply this product too coz it's lightweight. Huxley is pretty confident that it'll keep ur skin refreshed but not greasy.

[Huxley] Oil Light And More

If you're looking for fast-effect essence, I suggest this. WHY? Coz it's a prickly pear seed oil product which is lightweight and moisturizing. Fast absorption into skin, stressor-free and fortifying your skin. This doesn't not leave any greasiness on ur skin.

WHY DO I NEED [Huxley] Oil Light And More?

U It's suitable for all skin type! And it's light and not greasy. Very suitable for Malaysian weather.


HOW TO USE?

You can apply this on every morning and night. It is recommended to blend a drop of this with CREAM; MORE THAN MOIST as it creates a great synergy, enhancing the moisturizing effects. You can also use it before lip balm; emergency treatment for brittle and dry hair; mix with makeup  liquid foundation; as spot SOS treatment for the areas of the face that don't take makeup well; as a double-layer oil mist (toner and oil ratio = 7:3) and pour the mixture into a mist container.

As this product is made for all skin type, below are the steps for different skins:

Dry skin - You can apply it with ur current skin care product. This provides layered and increased hydration.

Combination skin - Massage oil into the T-zone area. This removes dead skin cells and sebum. Then, wipe it off with a warm towel. Applying in to the U-zone area, it helps moisturizing and regulating skin oil level.

Oily skin - Since oily skin has already plenty of oil on itself, thus, this OIL ; LIGHT AND MORE is recommended. It may seem counterproductive to apply oil to already oily skin, but skin actually produces oil in order to stay moisturized. So, the application of oil can actually fool the skin into believing that it has enough oil on it and reduce the production of sebum. Massage oil into your skin will remove impurities that clog your pores. It can kill two birds with one stone!

Sensitive skin - Mix a drop of oil with CREAM ; MORE THAN MOIST. CREAM ; MORE THAN MOIST is a cream for sensitive and severe dry skin. It will create a great synergy, enhancing the moisturizing and antioxidant effects without irritation, when blended with oil.

[Huxley] Essence Grab Water

So, if you're living in a hot country like me, in Malaysia, this Sahara Cactus seed oil essence is definitely something you need. It locks the hydration and moisture in your skin for long period. The texture is light and not greasy. Besides it also has the natural cooling effect of peppermint.

So, all Huxley essences are not greasy. The after texture is not too sticky too. The [HUXLEY] OIL ESSENCE-LIKE, OIL-LIKE is the most fragrant one.

Left hand is AFTER. Using bare eyes, you can see that my skin has become smoother with less wrinkles/lines.

[Huxley] Mask; Glow And Brightness (3ea)

This milky brightening sheet mask made with cactus extracts that protects your skin from variety of harmful environmental elements. It's said to instantly brighten and help to even out skin tone. The formulation is developed by unique PE-Tech. Due to the covid-19, I haven't tried this yet as I just got this. However, it gains many positive reviews online. The packaging is super aesthetic too~

WHY DO I NEED [HUXLEY] Mask; Glow And Brightness (3ea)?

It has brightening and glowing effect!

HOW TO USE?

This sheet mask is really special, it has many steps haha. Pls follow as per below:

01) Fold over the bottom pouch 3 times as pictured and apply pressure until the pouch pops, pushing the oil into the top pouch.
02) Press down evenly on the surface of the top pouch until the mixture turns a milky color. After cleansing and toning, apply the sheet mask over the face. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes.
03) After removing the sheet, gently pat excess treatment into skin for maximum absorption.
