BACK TO SCHOOL 2020｜Morning to Night Routines for Study! Hey guys! Finally, it's my back to school time! I'm so happy that I have such immense courage to go back to school in 2020! I take a brand new course (though it's not full time university course but it's an extreme course). I thought it'd be interesting to share with you how I go back to school and my morning to night routines lol including my kpop abs progressing clips. Kopi & Co. Cafe is quite a new topic in Penang. It seems like their digital marketing strategy is not bad. Often times, we'll see post regarding this Kopi & Co. Cafe on our IG/FB or via some bloggers. And so, my college bestie Kelly had been captivated and asked me to join her brunching at Kopi & Co. Cafe haha! Coz it's located at Chulia Street (a very extremely tourist spot), so parking lots are limited. The ambience is garden-like, a bit of alfresco coz the sunlight makes us basking in sweat. On that day, Kopi & Co. Cafe told us that a lot of items from their menu are sold out. It left us limited choice to order. And it was just around 1pm. So, if u wanna visit to Kopi & Co. Cafe, better be earlier.
SPINK - A Pinkish Restaurant Lounge with YUMMY food @ The ONE, Bayan Lepas, Penang.
My fav is always pink, it doesn't mean that pink has played the monopoly game in my heart though lol~ I like bright colours. Here's a new restaurant/lounge that worth for a try - SPINK cafe. It's been quite some time since I last paid attention to new cafes/restaurant in Penang. Coincidentally, my college buddy, WenPeng aka Ally was back in Penang for a few days of retreat from KL hectic life. She then asked me out for lunch at this newly opened pink pink Spink. At first, I was like, the food must be expensive coz it's kinda resembled to Golden Shower by ChinChin. The affordable menu has captivated me and I said YES without second-thoughts. Lol, sounds like an ahjumma. Aside from price, the location is pretty strategic for me as it's nearby my office. :)

I believe that everyone likes to eat sandwiches right? Especially during morning or brunch time. Feel like angmo western style haha Coz we always have the perception of eating bread is for angmo. Today's topic is sandwich, a Japanese style sandwich from Le 楽 Cafe Penang. Y? Some ppl call it Korean style but I think this is more akin to Japanese style as they wrap it with white paper and halve it. In Japan, you can see lots of cafe using this presentation concept. Even a lot of cafes in Taiwan has been implementing this too. I'm so happy that finally I could find one in Penang. The night before, I made an impromptu plan to date my 4th sis to watch "Pokemon" and she said YES! She had been always wanting to try this Le 楽 Cafe Penang, so we came here for brunch. Le 楽 Cafe Penang is located nearby Hin Bus Depot/Gudwara area.

Yep! It's ChinChin time again! But today, I'm gonna share my dining experience in CREAM by ChinChin, a fine dining spot in Penang. FYI, here's my last Quickie by ChinChin post. Actually, I tried this CREAM by ChinChin first. My pretty hiao hiao friend @KellyNg brought me there to treat and pamper me like her own baby child lol! It was my actual birthday and I only worked for 1/2 a day. We went to CREAM by ChinChin at around 12.30PM and it was only filled with 3 tables of patrons if I'm not mistaken. When it comes to CREAM by ChinChin, everyone sure have the perception of glamorous, expensive, high-end etc. So do I. Seriously, I'd never spent money on fine dining coz I'm a Taurus lol! But as you grow older, you have to try different thing in life right?NO REGRET!

ChinChin again~ I think ChinChin has been floating around Penang lately (many franchises like Cream by ChinChin, Golden Shower by ChinChin, ChinChin Gastropub, Tiente by ChinChin etc). Last couple of weeks, my dear pretty friend named KellyNg (lol writing out her surname too) treated me my birthday lunch @Cream by ChinChin and the food and service are nice too (super high class, I think it's a fine dining spot). Last weekend, I went to this Quickie by ChinChin on the lower ground floor of Gurney Plaza. It was an impromptu idea as we're both bad at making choices.

Hello guys! IKR, it's been awhile! Here's a long-awaited Penang food blog post for you (actually is for my own memory...) lol! This is my 1st outing to Penang cafe after my Japan trip. So happy to have spent my precious time with quality ppl - Yan who is my first mentor throughout my career haha! For me, she's a really diligent and attentive person. It never gets wrong to hang out with her~ So, we'd been discussing on where to lunch and after a few attempts on searching for new cafes, this is it - 34 Bishop cafe located at Bishop Street in Georgetown (right next to Two Frenchies Cafe).
Kafka is a newly established cafe in town and is quite a hit amongst young Penangites. Well, I haven't been to Australia, so I'm not that qualified to assess whether this Kafka cafe could really be considered as Aussie-Inspired. However, I think the interior design of Kafka really resembles to those cafes in Australia which I watched it on TLC channel lol. Kafka is located at the opposite of Gurney Tower; next to UOB bank. It's not that hard to seek for, you just have to ensure to turn to the left right before the traffic light. Why do I know the direction to Kafka so well? Because Kafka was previously my gym (where I'd spent 5 years of my fitness journey). It was quite sentimental when I stepped into Kafka as I reminisced about those moments when I ran on the treadmill, lost weight etc.

Konichiwa~ I can't believe that I have had more Japanese food than Korean food last year (2018). Happy new year peep! I'll continue to make your saliva drooling in this brand new year!!! Sushi Wafu is a new Japanese restaurant in Penang which just launched its third branch in last Dec. I was fetching mama Catherini and 2 kids and originally we wanted to try Tasty Toasty. As Catherini is pregnant, so we parked in Moulmein Rise (first time being there haha). Coincidentally, we found this Sushi Wafu and decided to give it a try then! Sushi Wafu's price is reasonable and it's freaking family friendly (scroll down to grasp it).

Manzoku? What does it mean? Manzoku means 'satisfaction'. Manzoku's concept is like MCD and KFC, those fast food chains, but Manzoku focuses on Japanese Fusion. Almost every item from Manzoku has a hint of Japanese flavour like tonkatsu rice burger and mentaiko pasta. There could be categorized by 3 varieties including burger, spaghetti and rice. It was quite fun to have dined at Manzoku as nobody would rush you to order since everything is self-service. Manzoku is nearby my office which means... we have another good spot for lunch! 要减肥又要出去与朋友约会的乡亲们，Mama Kim Sauna Mee这里简直是您的天堂呀！真的很健康哦！哈哈！连挑剔的小女也觉得很健康哦！Actually Catherini suggested to go for Sushi Zento @ One Precint one but I was like 'I seriously need Chinese food after being in UK for 2 weeks' so I asked if she has ever been to Mama Kim Sauna Mee. She'd tried Mama Kim Sauna Mee once and she said the food is quite nice and big in portion. Hence, we decided to go to Mama Kim Sauna Mee for lunch date!

I bet Hoshino Cafe is not new anymore to you right? Haha! But this is my first try at Hoshino Cafe. Prior to my visit, I’d seen quite a few negative comments on their food. This dragged my heart backwards to not even try it. Fortunately, it turned out well! Their food is unexpectedly yummy! Hashino Cafe’s menu is quite akin to Doutor Cafe at Gurney. Having said that, their french toast is also alike to Miam Miam’s.

Something Else Bistro & Bar has been operating for more than 1.5 years. But sadly, I'd never given them a chance to try out their menu haha~ My 4th sis highly recommended this Something Else Bistro & Bar to us. Thus, we went there to have our funny lunch.
