【檳城美食】久違的見面、港式點心@ 香港粥面家 Canton-i, Gurney Paragon, Penang.
Originally, we planned to try the famous Gudetama Molten Custard Bun from another Chinese restaurant, but not sure whether it's closed or under maintenance. So, we went to this Canton-i! Now I only realized that Canton-i is under the 'Dragon-i! But this Canton-i is prone to a cheaper pricing.
I honestly have a low degree of knowledge in terms of Hong Kong dim sum and cuisine, so we just asked Cathe to decide. Haha! I can't remember the price but it is surely cheaper than Dragon-i. Let us look at the food porns! Sounds 18 rated! haha!
The salty pickled peanuts as an appetizer, salty but I think it matches well with white porridge!
Salted egg molten custard bun - quite nice, the filling is so soft and not too sweet.
but, after being done with Wendy's magical hands....it ruined! Haha!
Cathe's fav, Sweet and Sour Pork - the sauce is great, but the pork cutlets are a bit chewy with those veins or muscles, I don't know Science~ It's quite hard to bite.
Congee with lean pork, liver and kidney or I named it as viscera congee! Wendy purposely ordered it! The texture is soft as well, but I don't dare to try the pork's internal organ! high in cholesterol ma~
Cathe's checklist of having a wanton soup - we initially wanted to order the Chinese low-fire stock but the broth of the day was not that tempting... Haha! But this Wanton is so yummy, the filling is full with shrimps, super fresh and QQ. The soup is a bit salty though.
I think this DSLR is focusing too much coz I was the only clear thing in these pics...ahhaha!
