本宫相信如果你是KPOP粉丝，你一定与韩国🇰🇷料理有一段藕断丝连的情节。我也是。自从在2006年听到👂东方神起的歌曲后，我已完完全全地变成韩国美食客。哈哈！你最喜欢的KPOP团体是哪一个呢？Wanna One? BTS? SNSD? TWICE? 留言告诉我吧！今日，我想要与各位分享本宫前阵子去的一间隐藏版韩国咖啡馆、餐厅🍴——SHWIMPYO。何解？韩语SHWIMPYO（쉼표）的意思是逗号。听说店家取这个名的原因是想要让顾客来SHWIMPYO吃一吃美食，休息、停一停脚步，再继续前进。而且，老板娘住过中国🇨🇳好几年哦！所以会说华语及英语。这样大家就不需用破韩语沟通啦！店家的服务员💁是马来妹，所以一定不会有沟通方面的问题。SHWIMPYO跟一般的韩国餐厅不一样的地方就是SHWIMPYO比较低调、平价、住家式。老板娘也有提到因为马来西亚🇲🇾已有很多主攻韩国烤肉的餐厅，所以她想要以平价的韩国美食来提倡韩国文化。此外，开SHWIMPYO的灵感也来自于以前读书时代，经过路边小食铺，却因家境贫穷只好垂涎欲滴，所以老板娘就立志当一名每天都可以炒辣炒年糕的厨师。
I believe that if you're KPOP fans, you'll sure have a crush with Korean Cuisine. Like me. I'd totally transformed into a Korean Food Eater ever since I listened to TVXQ's song back in 2006. Haha! Which KPOP group do you like the most? Wanna One? BTS? SNSD? TWICE? Tell me in the comment box! Today, I wanna share with you my last visit to this hidden gem of Korean Cafe named SHWIMPYO. Meaning? In Korean, SHWIMPYO（쉼표）means comma. It has been said that the reason is to let customers come to SHWIMPYO and enjoy the delicious food here, have a rest, slow down the pace and continue fighting for your life again. Here to highlight, the boss lady had lived in China for quite some time! So, she speaks fluent Mandarin and English. We do not have to use our broken Korean to communicate anymore! The waitresses are Malay girls which narrows down the communication barrier. The elements that make SHWIMPYO stands out from the other Korean restaurant out there are low-profile, affordable and homestyle. The lady boss did mention that since BBQ ribs are in the limelight at lots of Korean restaurant here in Penang, so she wants to use the affordable Korean cuisine to boost up the Korean Culture. Back in studying life, she passed by numerous Korean street food stalls and couldn't afford it due to poorness. She could barely stare at the food which triggered the dream of becoming a chef who cooks Spicy Rice Cake everyday. This is also one of the reason of opening this SHWIMPYO.
SHWIMPYO就开在USM、Bukit Gambir、Ivory Condo的地段。前身是Gil Cafe，我以前的韩国老师开的，但是现在已换人又换名了。来看看我们所点的‘红通通’韩国餐。
SHWIMPYO is located at the areas of USM, Bukit Gambir and Ivory Condo. The previous name is Gil Cafe which was owned by my Korean Teacher. But now has been changed in name and owner. Let's take a peek at the RED RED Korean food that we ordered.
就让本宫回忆起当天的点滴，好吗？这样本宫老了后，才可以回味嘛！哈哈！当天是公共假日——国庆日（周四）。本宫凌晨6点多就醒了。结果吃完早餐后，又从早上9.30睡到11点。很厉害对吧！为何那么厉害睡？因为前一晚看了《红衣小女孩2》，太累了。很好看，大家去看啦！然后下午1.30才抵达SHWIMPYO吃迟来午餐。完。
Let me document my diary of that day, OK? So that I could retrospect it in my oldie days! Haha! It was a Public Holiday, Malaysia independence's day (Thursday). I woke up at about 6am in the early morning. After taking breakfast, I continued my slumber from 9.30am to 11am. Wasn't it amazing?! How could I sleep that much? I was too tired after the movie 'Tag Along 2' on the night before. It was good, you guys should watch it! Then, I reached SHWIMPYO at 1.30pm for the late lunch. The END.
一到SHWIMPYO，仿佛回到了韩国梨花女子大学。听着耳熟能详的韩国KPOP歌谣、看着简单可爱的壁画、欧式花瓣桌布，整个气氛都很棒。SHWIMPYO的餐单简易，价钱品价。我吩咐美根与菀庭等我、别点先。迟到的我，结果被她们骂到狗血淋头😄哈哈！点了3份，结果送来的时候。。。
Once I stepped into this SHWIMPYO, it kinda felt like going back to Ehwa Womans University in Korea. Listening to the renowned and catchy KPOP songs, looking at the ever simplest yet cutest wallpaper, vintage flowery table cloth, the whole vibe was awesome. SHWIMPYO's menu is simple and the price is affordable. I ordered them not to order first, have to wait for me. Due to my lateness of arrival, I got scold by them Haha! We ordered 3 mains, the consequence....

But, this table cloth is really a clone with mine at home. Haha! It's so Taylor Swift!
辣炒鸡🐔❀닭갈비 Dakgalbi --- RM 15 Spicy Chicken BBQ with rice
鸡肉给得很多。有一碗白饭，但是白饭只是马来西亚的饭（美根很失望😞）。如果白饭可以用韩国米会更加分。里头还有加入冬粉一同与辣酱炒。本宫觉得不辣，反而有点甜甜的味道。整体来说，算是重口味、好吃、很下饭。但很大份！！！
The chicken meat provided was a lot. A bowl of rice included but the Malaysian white rice disappointed Megan. It'd be great if they use Korean rice. Glass noodle was stir-fried with the spicy paste. I didn't feel spicy though, it was a bit sweet. Overall, the taste was quite heavy but yummy which went well with rice. BTW, the portion was gigantic!!!

起司🧀️辣炒年糕❀치즈 떡볶이 Cheese Ddeokbokki --- RM 12
这道料理是韩国大学生必吃美食。为何？我韩国朋友曾经告诉说，当韩国人有压力时，就会吃辣辣辣辣的辣炒年糕。所以韩国大学附近都有很多挡卖韩国炒年糕的小食铺。我们很喜欢吃这一道。一条条口感十足的年糕，煮得刚刚好。因为有些会比较不熟，所以咬到里面时会很硬。这里的完全Q软。不辣、反而甜甜的。浓郁的甜辣酱加上融掉的起司🧀️简直是人生一大享受呀！赞！！！这道是没有饭的。但是份量很大！只能说老板娘是不是太喜欢冬粉啦？但是很好，因为冬粉很好吃，而且低卡。

So, you would see a lot of stalls that sell Ddeokbokki operating nearby the Korean Uni. We all liked this a lot. The texture of the rice cake was great and was cooked perfectly. Some of the Ddeokbokki are not being cooked well. So, you'll bite the harder part in between. Ddeokbokki here was totally soft and chewy. Not spicy but sweet. The amalgamation of thick sweet and spicy sauce and the melting cheese exemplified one of the best life enjoyment! JJANG! Rice is not included. BUT, the portion was big too! Does the boss lady have a crush with glass noodle? However, it was a good thing though. As glass noodle is delicious and low in calories.

我们‘叫鸡’。这道其实也蛮有味道的，但是因其与两个过于重口味，导致这道变淡了。味道OK。料很多。豆腐有点儿碎。是她们俩坚持点的。我通常都不会点汤，除了人参鸡汤。
We ordered 'chicken'. Actually this stew was quite flavourful, but the 2 others had seriously overridden its taste. The flavor was OK. Lots of ingredients. The tofu in there was a bit fragmented. They insisted to order this dish. I normally won't go for soup except of Ginseng Chicken soup.

Since it's considered as pocket-friendly, so they will only serve you a side dish which is the staple one, KIMCHI. I still think that my homemade KIMCHI is the BEST! Haha!

This is HALAL and without GST involved. We just had to pay for RM13 per person! The most affordable Korean Cuisine I ever eaten!!!
After lunch, we went to Queensbay for a stroll... As we walked, we felt it was just the nick of time for dessert~ So we rushed to The Grass for the grass jelly from Ipoh. That Wendy Goh said no when we asked whether she wanted to join us, later on only cried asking why I only took 2 spoons. She is indeed a freak! Haha! We ordered full grass jelly with 2 scoop of peanut and 1 scoop of red bean. How on earth will 1 bowl satisfy 3 persons? Then we ordered another one with the same topping.
